Architectural and planning concept for the improvement of the recreation area (dam on Pugachevskaya street., working settlement Shakhovskaya), 2020
Recreation area near the dam on the Pugachevskaya street in the working settlement of Shakhovskaya is a favorite vacation spot for its residents in the warm season, despite the fact that the beach existing on its territory does not correspond to the beauty of the natural environment and does not provide vacationers with the necessary level of comfort.
At the heart of the project is the improvement of the recreation area near the dam on the Pugachevskaya street has the idea of creating new relations between man and nature in it. The main goal of working on the concept is to use architectural means to realize the right of every inhabitant of the working settlement Shakhovskaya to a comfortable beach holiday and swimming.
In summer, the beach at the dam is full of life, people and fun. In the cold season it is empty. The project proposes year-round use of the site and, due to this, the attraction of additional private investment for the implementation of the improvement project. Taking into account the wishes of the residents of the Shakhovskaya working settlement, it is proposed to build small architectural forms integrated into the landscape in the landscaped area: changing cabins, showers, toilets, sheds, benches. These objects will be united by a boardwalk, comfortable both for bare feet and for wheelchairs. Such a solution will allow moving around the territory at any time of the year, making it convenient for maintenance.
