When a large natural cluster is located in the very center of the city, this is a great success for its residents. After all, this means that a person can restore strength after a hard working day, family troubles and various blows of fate without leaving it. The city of Shchekino has a green heart – the “City House of Culture” park, which is located a few steps from the main city square, residential buildings, administrative and educational institutions. Most residents of Shchekino use the space of the park every day: the townspeople go through the park to work, come to it to relax with their families and friends, go in for sports. The older generation of residents have memories of dancing on the summer stage, reading books, meetings and falling in love in the park.
The central city park of Shchekino is very beautiful in its nature: squirrels live in it, various types of trees, flowers and shrubs grow in it, it has “delicious” clean air. Unfortunately, the current state of the park does not at all correspond to the attractiveness of its flora. This contrast is especially evident after the implementation of the project for the improvement
of the main city square of Shchekino (V.I. Lenin Square) and a small section of the "City House
of Culture" park. After all, the implementation of the winning project of the All-Russian competition of the best projects for creating a comfortable urban environment in small towns and historical settlements in 2021 set a high bar for the quality of urban life, became
a springboard for the development of the central part of Shchekino.
The idea of the project is to make the green heart of the city beat together with its well-maintained part. The project proposes to saturate the park "City House of Culture” with functions that meet the needs of residents, improve the ecological situation in the city by planting new plants on the improvement site, create an environment adequate for the movement of various groups of people in the park, revive stories related to people and significant events in the fate of Shchekino.
